Gratitude for Revival Volunteers
Overwhelmed with Gratitude
As I sit here today, my heart is absolutely overflowing with thankfulness. What a week it has been at Journey Church during our Revival with Pastor Cody Jones!
This week has been nothing short of incredible — lives touched, hearts changed, healings and the presence of God so strong in every service. It had truly become a community outreach! But I want to take a moment to express my deepest appreciation to the many volunteers who have worked tirelessly, often behind the scenes, to make it all possible.
Our Children’s Ministry has gone above and beyond. There has been as much ministry going on downstairs as upstairs. Many of the kids we’ve ministered to this week needed extra love, care, and attention — and our team met those needs with grace, patience, and the heart of Jesus. I’m especially grateful for Pastor Melissa, whose compassion, experience, and tender heart for children have shined so brightly. She texted me saying: “I couldn’t have done it this week without Angie, Kelli, Larena, Paige and all the others… We truly have the A-Team!” Shonda and I must agree. I feel that way about the whole volunteer team!
Angie, thank you for pouring in so much of your own time, love, and even resources for crafts and snacks. Kelli, Larena (who gets up for work at 3:45), Paige, and the whole crew, your kindness and dedication didn’t go unnoticed. ❤️
To everyone who worked in the parking lot, helping direct the overwhelming number of cars each night — thank you!
To our door greeters, ushers, and security team who faithfully watched the halls, stood guard, and served with joy — you are the unsung heroes.
To my sister and brother-in-law, who have ministered to our guest speaker and his team every night — thank you for serving with excellence and hospitality.
A huge shoutout to our worship leader, Shawn Rosenbaum. He’s been standing at the door greeting people every single night, even though he gets up early every morning for work. He has worked behind the scenes just as diligently as he does on the stage. That’s the heart of a true servant and sets an example of “Kingdom” mindedness. If you can't work with Shawn, you can't work with anyone!
Thank you to Amy, Kolleen, my mom, and all who’ve worked tirelessly behind the scenes every single night — people like you are the backbone that holds it all together.
To Jeff Caldwell, Johnathan Smith, Andrew, and Joshua, Jonathan Williams, Danny, thank you for handling sound, media, maintenance, security, ushering, and every one of the “million little things” that come up during revival. Your excellence and dependability keep everything running smoothly.
And I can’t forget our local friends who stepped in to help — Will Keath (our plumber from Mt. Sterling), Fast Flow Plumbing from Richmond, and Comfort Heat & Air, who went the extra mile to keep us up and running this week, sometimes without even charging us. That’s true Kingdom partnership.
We’ve had record crowds that have far exceeded the size of our building — and that’s a great problem to have! But it takes a lot of teamwork to make that happen, and every person who served, gave, parked, greeted, prayed, sang, or fixed something shares in the same reward of the souls that were saved. Thanks to everyone who has taken time to be here. Every hand lifted, every voice, every seat full makes a difference to the atmosphere of revival.
If I didn’t mention your name specifically, please know this — I see you, I’m aware, and I’m deeply grateful. Every act of service matters to God, and it matters to me.
To everyone who has also supported this week financially — thank you. Your giving has helped fuel the fire of revival, and we’re believing for great harvests ahead! Many sacrificed sleep, time, money, even taken off work and planned vacations around this week. It doesn't go unnoticed by us, and most importantly by God.
My heart truly overflows. Tears fill my eyes as I think about what God has done and how faithfully His people have served. I love each and every one of you more than words can say.
Journey Church — you are the real deal.
Let’s keep this fire burning!
